Founded over 30 years ago in San Francisco, the Asian Women’s Shelter strives to address the urgent and unmet needs of survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, especially those who are immigrant or refugee women, children, LGBTQ+/GNB, and/or youth. TVi has worked with the Asian Women’s Shelter in the past to arrange technical visits with overseas delegations to share the important work done by the Asian Women’s Shelter and to discuss how governments and nonprofits can all assist in the elimination of domestic violence.
