Paramedic/EMT Technical Visits
Dietetic Study at Upscale Senior Community
Over the years, TVi has arranged numerous technical visits for international paramedic and EMT students. Sites arranged by TVi include the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the Los Angeles County Paramedic Training Institute, UCLA Daniel Freeman Paramedical Training Program, and the 911 Dispatch Center. Additionally, TVi has successfully arranged for overseas paramedic and EMT students to have the unique opportunity for a full-day ambulance ride-along experience with American Medical Response (AMR), one of the country’s leading private ambulance providers.
For over 10 years, TVi has worked to arrange technical visits for Seitoku University in Japan, which annually sends two large groups of dietetic students to Northern California to study trends in nutrition and dietetic education. TVi annually secures technical visits to a large, upscale retirement and assisted-living community near Monterey, CA. The visits consist of a facility tour, kitchen tour, lecture on meal arrangements and menu creation, and lecture on the role of dietitians in the U.S. (especially in the senior health care field). Students also enjoy a hot buffet meal as part of the program.
